East Canton Schools Earn Purple Star Designation – District-Wide Commitment to Military Families 🇺🇸🐝💛
We are proud to announce that the East Canton School District has been officially recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce with the renewal of our Purple Star School designation for the Class of 2025!
This honor reflects our district-wide commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive, and understanding environment for our military-connected students and their families. The Ohio Purple Star Advisory Board holds schools to strict standards for this designation, and we are honored to have not only met—but exceeded—those expectations across all grade levels.
We recognize that military-connected students face unique challenges, from navigating frequent school transitions to balancing academic demands with the realities of their families’ service. The Purple Star Award acknowledges our continued efforts to provide resources, stability, and care to ensure every student feels valued, supported, and at homein East Canton.
This designation is valid for three years, and we are already looking ahead to maintaining this distinction and renewing it in the fall of 2027.
